Spine Surgery CT

Spinal Tumors are classified according to their association with the spinal cord and the associated dura (fibrous covering). Those tumors within the dura or in the spinal cord itself cause neurological dysfuntion by damaging or compressing nerves.

Spinal tumors occurring outside the dura can cause nerve compression in addition to potential instability, by compromising the structural integrity of the spine.

Many times spine surgery is necessary to decompress nerves and/or the spinal cord. Patients may also require reconstructive procedures for associated spinal instability.

Our Connecticut Spine Surgeons have years of experience in the treatment of spinal tumors. Please CONTACT US if there is a medical issue in which CNS can help you.
